The postseason is upon us, and our analysts make predictions on how the playoffs will shake out.
Why the Red Sox will win the World Series: the Boston Red Sox have more firepower than every other team, including the Stankees. The NL is going to lose this year, they just don’t have the pitching.
One team to watch out for: the Phillies, Jon Heyman reported they are going to attempt to sign both Bryce Harper AND Manny Machado.
Why the Red Sox will win the World Series: as cool as it would be to see the Astros win the World series, this is the Red Sox’s title to lose. They have been the best team in baseball all year, and they should keep they going on the postseason. Chris Sale looks healthy going into the poseason and with Mookie Betts and J.D Martinez leading a really deep line-up. It’s going to to take something special to be them.
One team to watch out for: it’s funny, out of the five NL playoff teams, nobody's talking about the one team that didn't need the last day of the season to win their division, and that's the Atlanta Braves. Sure they might not have the talent the Cubs and dodgers do, but they have been one of the most consistent teams all year. Freddie Freeman, NL MVP candidate, leads a lineup that is full of guys who can make plays when it counts. This also has been a good defensive team and there pitching could be good enough. The NL is WIDE OPEN right now and is waiting for someone to come and take it, maybe the Braves are that team.
Why the Astros will win the World Series: The 'Stros have been one of the best in baseball over the past few seasons and after a hard fought series against the red sox for the AL title, they'll make easy work of a Brewers team that is just as inconsistent as the Cubs.
One team to watch out for: The Rockies are rolling in heavy and I'm thinking they'll take out the struggling cubs (who couldn't hold onto the division down the stretch) and that may just be the momentum they need to make a (possibly?) deep playoff run.
Why the Astros will win the World Series:The Astros are going to be back-to-back champions because they have been able to get better despite a top heavy American League. They won more games this season, and everyone falls back down to Earth eventually. Looking at you Boston. The Astros are 3-3 against the Red Sox this season, with two of their losses being only by one run.
One team to watch out for: the Rockies are hot going into the playoffs. They may have dropped game 163 against the Dodgers, but if they can out due the Cubs, the will be in the World Series. Unfortunately for the Rockies they are going against Jon Lester, who has an ERA of 1.00 in his last three games.
