Week 17 game predictions

This is the final week of the NFL season for many, but for some Week 17 is their chance to play in January.

Predictions by all staff, analysis by Ethan Anderson

Bears v Vikings

Blaise (58-40-1): Bears 17 Vikings 16
Christian (54-44-1): Bears 24 Vikings 21
Jake (57-41-1): Bears 17 Vikings 16
Ethan (52-46-1): Vikings 24 Bears 13

The Bears could clinch a first round bye if they win and the Rams lose. I doubt the 49ers are going into and beating the Rams tho. I like the Vikings in this game because they NEED this game to get into the postseason. Kirk Cousins finally wins a big game.

Lions v Packers

B: Packers 28 Lions 20
C: Packers 17 Lions 12
J: Packers 28 Lions 20
E: Packers 20 Lions 14

I’ll take Aaron Rodgers and the Packers who are looking to cap off a very disappointing season with back-to-back wins. If I’m the Lions, I would get rid of Matt Patricia despite this being his first season in Detroit.

Eagles v Redskins

B: Eagles 35 Redskins 20
C: Eagles 10 Redskins 9
J: Eagles 35 Redskins 20
E: Eagles 34 Redskins 13

The Eagles need to win and have the Vikings lose. They will win as there is no way Josh Johnson and this injured Washington team beat a hot Nick Foles who threw for 471 yards last week. Expect the Eagles to run away with this game.

Colts v Titans

B: Colts 27 Titans 20
C: Titans 31 Colts 28
J: Colts 27 Titans 20
E: Colts 27 Titans 20

Andrew Luck is on an absolute tear and he carries his team to the playoffs. I except this defense, who is way ahead of schedule, to play their tails off and Marcus Mariota is just to banged up to really give this Colts defense fitz.

Browns v Ravens

B: Ravens 28 Browns 17
C: Browns 12 Ravens 7
J: Ravens 28 Browns 17
E: Browns 20 Ravens 17

The Ravens win and they are in, it’s that simple. They are at home with the league's top defense who shut down the Chargers last week. But you know what, there is this guy in Cleveland who I’m sure is feeling mighty dangerous right about now. I like Baker Mayfield to go into Baltimore and shock the world and keep the Ravens out of the playoffs.

Steelers v Bengals

B: Steelers 35 Bengals 21
C: Steelers 24 Bengals 3
J: Steelers 35 Bengals 21
E: Steelers 41 Bengals 22

Steelers need the Browns to win and for them to take care of business to get into the postseason. Both could occur, look for Pittsburgh to stroll to a victory. Big Ben should throw for over 400 yards and have at least 3 touchdowns against statistically one of the worst defenses in NFL history.

49ers v Rams

B: Rams 35 49ers 27
C: 49ers 17 Rams 14
J: Rams 35 49ers 27
E: Rams 31 49ers 15

No Todd Gurley, no problem for the Rams. They should cake walk through this game as the 49ers are not a good road team. Jared Goff will get some much needed confidence as the Rams earn a first round bye.
