Cubs and Sox 2018 preview

Spring training is officially underway and the Cubs and White Sox could have a bright 2018 ahead.

Cubs season preview
95-67, first in the NL Central

During the offseason the Cubs made a splash by bringing former Rangers ace Yu Darvish. The Cubs now have a solid rotation, and fortified their bullpen. With the NL Central not much getting stronger, and the core of players still in tact the Cubs could have bright season ahead.

Even though the Cubs look good on paper they aren't perfect, and still lack a true leadoff man that sparked their 2016 championship run.

White Sox season preview
76-86, fifth in the AL Central

The Sox rebuild heads into its second season, but this time around things should be more enjoyable. Arguable the two bigger pieces in the rebuild—Yoan Moncada and Eloy Jimenez—could be playing on the same field in 2018. The Sox still aren't close to contending, but each game is another chance to see the two budding stars cement their legacy.
