Dear Coach Q,
You’ve been fired. I never thought I’d see the day come when you and your legendary moustache wasn’t standing behind that Chicago Blackhawks bench.
It pains the entire city to see you go. You lead this team to not one, not two, but THREE Stanley Cup championships. The words escape me of what you meant to this city, these fans and the Chicago Blackhawks organization.
It is beyond me that the Hawks brass would make a decision like this. I understand that they want a winning team, and maybe your power play ideas were a little stale, but they had so many more avenues to take before getting rid of you.
You will forever be my favorite coach in Chicago history and nobody can take that away from you.
You are and always will be an icon in Chicago and god willing, you will return someday in all your moustache-y glory. We love you now and forever Coach Q. So sad to see you go. So so sad.
We raise our glass to you, Coach Q. Thank you for everything that you’ve done for this city, this organization and Chicago Blackhawks fans.
